REFRENCE BOOKS of ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING for GATE

REFRENCE BOOKS FOR ELECTRONUCS ENGINEERING

Electronic engineering is an electrical engineering discipline which utilizes nonlinear and active electrical components to design electronic circuits, devices, integrated circuits and their systems.

The discipline typically also designs passive electrical components,

usually based on printed circuit boards

WHAT IS ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING.

Electronic engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with electronic circuits of electronic devices and equipment.
Electronic engineering now forms a greater part of the technological infrastructure of today. Right from the digital functions of your microwave oven to the high-end gaming consoles and professional laptops you use, the application of electronics engineering has become ubiquitous.
OR
Electronics Engineering is a discipline of engineering which focuses on topics such as circuits, microprocessors, Digital signal processors, electrical and electronic components, etc.
Here are a few of the benefits of taking up electronics and communication engineering:
important REFRENCE BOOKS FOR ELECTRONUCS ENGINEERING
Circuit theory:
Chua, Desoer and Kuh, “Linear and Nonlinear Circuits”, McGraw-Hill, 1987
Electronics:
The fundamental book IMHO is Gray & Searle’s “Electronic Principles”, Wiley, 1969
 Digital Signal Processing:
No doubts here: Oppenheim & Schafer’s “Digital Signal Processing”, Prentice-Hall, 1975.
 Control:
I like Chen’s “Analog and Digital Control System Design: Transfer-Function, State-Space, and Algebraic Methods”, HRW, 1993
Electromagnetics:
This is Physics :-) What I recommend here is a book on “applied electromagnetics”
Being an Electrical Engineering Undergraduate student
1.  A. K. Chakrabarty, Circuits and Networks.
2.  P. S. Bhimbra, Generalized Theory of Electrical Machines.
3.  J. B. Gupta, Switchgear and Industrial Protection
4. Nagrath Kothari and M. Gopal, Control Systems Engineering.
5. Ashfaq Hussain, Power Systems, this book is a reader’s dream.

REFRENCE BOOKS of ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING for GATE ___---

  • Network analysis - Alexander Saiduku ( for begineers /freshers )  If youre already comfortable in this subject then no need of book .

  • Control system -  Ogata or M gopal for beginners/freshers .

  • Signal system - This subject you will need some practise .Best book is Oppenheimbut it will take some time to complete .

  • Digital electronics :  Anand kumar or Morris manno .

  • Analog electronics : This one will be very tricky in your preparation as analog is one of the lenghiest subject and most of us from ee are not very
  • Mathematics : Any institute pyq book me /ace/gate academy is enough

  • Power system : Nagrath Kothari only this book is sufficient if you read it nicely alongwith solving solved and unsolved numericals . Stevenson i very good book but kothari book is 90% copied from Stevenson so                             get
  •   Power system -1 topic.

  • Electrical machines : PS bhimbra . This subject will trouble you most cuz of its                                               lenghiest syllabus . You have to keep revising it regularly

  • Power electronics (the rank maker) : For basic of thyristor and other thyrist family, diode circuit : PS bhimbhra .For
  • PYQ book : This is must . Ace pyq is has less error and better explanation then me .
  •                              For machines and power system book by Ankit Goyal

Made easy or ace classroom notes helps a lot in preparation

REFERENCE BOOKS FOR GATE CIVIL ENGINEERING -
there are some factors that the candidates should keep in mind. The following points should be kept in mind while deciding which books to choose for preparation purpose:
  • Easy to Understand: First of all, the books should be easy for the candidates to read and understand. If the concepts and chapters are explained in a simplified manner, the candidates will be able to understand without the technical terms being used much. This will allow the candidates to have a deeper understanding of the topics.
  • Concise Explanation: Since GATE 2020 examination consists of many complicated chapters, the books should try to keep the explanation simple and concise. The explanation should be simple, crisp and easy to understand.
